I started scrapbooking in Feb. and am now addicted! I find it very relaxing and fun to do. Anyone out there like to share ideas or chat about scrapbooking? sandjdawson

Welcome to the wonderfully creative world of scrapbooking! I began to scrapbook 8 years ago when I was still in high school. My scrapbooks were proudly displayed at my graduation party and I have wonderful keepsakes of my time in high school as well as college.

I do not know what companies you are familiar with, but I was introduced to Creative Memories when I first began scrapbooking. I purchased many of the basic tools and albums from this company. There is also a company called Stampin-Up which tell scrapbook items and stamps! I just have began to purchase things from this company! I am quickly becoming addicted! When scrapbooking, I highly reccommend using acid and lignin free products. It will help your photos from turning yellow years down the road. I also suggest using plastic page protectors to cover your scrapbook pages so your photos won’t get smudged through the years. You can purchase scrapbook items at Wal-Mart, Michaels craftstore, Jo-Ann Fabrics and of course any of your local scrapbook stores. I would check out www.stickerplanet.com. They have any kind of sticker you can imagine plus scrapbooking items such as paper and adhesives.

Please feel free to contact me! I love scrapbooking and would like to share tips and ideas!

I’m creating a yearbook and am wondering what a good free digital scrapbooking website would be to make these yearbook pages on.

Thanks a bunch in advance.

Try Picabo. It’s a neat site! You download the software to your PC so you don’t have to be on-line to create a book. It’s free to download, and create but you need to purchase the book when you are ready to print it.

I’ve seen several ways to display pictures in a scrapbook to save pages–a flip book, folding pages vertically/horizontally and even in one of those paper game fortune tellers kids play with (with numbers or colors). Any other ideas? I’ve been trying to look on sites but I’m not sure what to search under.

http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_scb/0,2044,DIY_14332,00.html has TONS of scrapbooking ideas, plus there’s a tv show that you can watch that does some of the ideas on the website.

Is it illegal to walk next to railroad tracks picking up scrap metal as long as i”m not physically taking the railroad tracks apart? I’m guessing there’s probably a lot of scrap that falls from railcars.

people are more paranoid now than ever and doing something like picking up metal by railroad tracks are gonna raise suspicions.

Hi everyone! :) I’m really interested in getting into scrapbooking, but i’m a little overwhelmed. i went to a scrapbooking class just for fun and i’m really excited. what i’m wondereing is…how many pages can you fit in a 12×12 3-ring binder scrapbook?

thanks! :)

I live in the UK and typically there are 10 pages in an Album when you buy it. you can buy extra pages and add them to your Album depending on how much you put into it. Dont forget if you add large embellishments it will bulk the pages out and then your Album will bulge if you add too many extra pages. I have some scrapbook pages that I have done on my blog why dont you skip by and have a look.

I’m not looking for totes or anything for portable scrapbooking. I want to build a scrapbooking work center in my home office. What are the best products (shelving, cubes, etc) to use? And where can I find them? Thank you for your help!

Brand new in my Micheal’s store this month are Making Memories cubes, drawers (2) and turntable table top organizers. The cubes and drawers fit together and stack together. All are white and are made of MDF. Prices are good but the cubes only have 2 or 3 compartments. They also have a huge, lovely, white wall shelf. It’s a bout 4 inches deep and holds jars and stuff with 2 paper towel like holders for ribbon spools to spin freely on. Looks really nice. That’s what I would do but depending on how your paper is organized, you may need lots of cubes to separate colours etc. Good luck!

I have to make a five page scrapbook for English. I’m open to any ideas.

I love scrap booking and I took a course on it so I will help you.

First you need a whole lot of pictures. Write captions under the pictures. Go to get fancy background paper that kind of tells a story about the book. Make it really detailed not just by words, by decorative stuff! ♥

I wish I could have assignments like this in school. Good luck and hope I helped you.
